SITE FEATURES

What is a Parent Site?
A Parent Site is a page for a group of related Locations. A Parent Site is created for each new Location that is Added to Omnilocus. This is especially useful for Chain Stores (e.g., restaurants). For example, you could go to the McDonald's Parent Site to search for all McDonald's restaurants listed on Omnilocus. To visit a Parent Site, go to the Main page of a particular Location and click "Parent Site" to the right of the Location name.

What is General Media?
General Media is any Photos and Videos taken in a particular City but not of a particular Location. For example, if you took Photos during a long car drive through Colorado, any Media not of a particular Location (like a restaurant, store, business, etc.) would be considered General Media.

Omnilocus Members can upload General Media and specify their geographic origin (eg, Country and City).

What is the City Browser?
The City Browser allows you to view a list of all General Media and Locations in a particular City. You can click on a Location's city (or use Search) to view the City Browser.

How do I enabled cookies?

  • Firefox: Click Tools, Options..., and then check "Accept cookies from sites."
  • Internet Explorer: Click Tools, Internet Options, click the Privacy tab, and then move the slider down to Medium High.
  • Opera: Click Tools, Preferences..., click the Advanced tab, click Cookies on the left pane, and then select "Accept Cookies."
